My story

Pandora — Broken Leg, But Not a Broken Spirit  At just 5 months old, little Pandora has already faced more than any puppy should. This 25 lb Bully Terrier mix with a scruffy, one-of-a-kind coat was heartlessly dumped at a vet’s office with a broken leg—alone, scared, and in pain. The vet called us first knowing we’d never let her be euthanized due to lack of funds or turn her away. But Pandora didn’t give up… and neither did we. After surgery and lots of love, Pandora is healing beautifully and is almost ready to start her next chapter. She still has a few restrictions as she finishes her recovery, but in just a few short weeks, she’ll be romping and playing with her canine friends again! She’s currently working on house and crate training, which has been a challenge due to her recovery and medications—but she’s eager to learn and wants nothing more than to make her humans proud. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
