My story

Meet Sally!Sally is a 10 month old border colllie/lab mix. She is a sweet, smart, and silly young pup looking for her forever home! She lived with four young kids, six cats, and two other dogs—and she gets along with everyone. She especially adores the cats (maybe a bit too much!) and is always eager to play. With a gentle reminder, she’ll happily leave them alone, but her curiosity and affection are clear.Personality:Sally is goofy, friendly, and eager to please. She has that perfect puppy charm without the chaos—energetic but not overwhelming, and always up for fun. She loves soft toys, splashing in puddles, and digging around in the sand during playtime.Training & Routine:She’s fully crate trained, house trained, and knows how to walk nicely on a leash with a little encouragement. Sally stays in a mix of crate, house, and fenced yard throughout the day and is rarely left alone for more than a few hours. She may bark when she hears people arriving home or passersby, but it’s more excitement than alarm. She’s a smart girl and learns quickly with consistency.Good to Know:Chewing: Not destructive, but will shred soft toys or sneak something into her crate to tear up if no one notices.Jumping: Improving, but still working on not jumping up when excited.Dogs: Great with dogs and enjoys playing.Cats: LOVES them, but supervision may be needed—she can get a little too enthusiastic.Kids: Loves them too, but may jump—best suited for families with older kids (10+).Car rides: Rides well in a crate.Ideal Home:Sally would thrive in a home with another playful dog, an active family, and preferably a yard (though she’d be okay in an apartment with regular exercise). She’d love a home with older kids and people who want a trainable, affectionate pup to be part of the family fun.Why We Love Sally:She’s smart, expressive, and irresistibly goofy. She’ll tilt her head at you when you talk in a funny voice, like she’s trying to understand every word. She’s one of those rare puppies who’s full of personality and potential—just waiting for the right people to love.If Sally sounds like the pup you've been looking for, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationJune 12, 2025, 6:50 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sally, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
