Meet Scotch! š¶š If you're looking for a four-legged bundle of joy, Scotch is your guy! This happy, energetic pup is all about living life to the fullestāwith a constantly wagging tail and a big goofy grin to match. Scotch is the kind of dog who brings instant sunshine to your day. Heās always ready to play, explore, or smother you in kisses. His enthusiasm is contagious, and his loving personality makes it impossible not to smile when heās around. Whether you're up for an adventure or just want a cuddle buddy who gives the best doggy smooches, Scotch is ready to be your fun-loving, affectionate best friend. Come meet himāyouāll fall in love instantly! š¾ When I arrived at Anderson Animal Shelter from their partner shelter in Oklahoma, I tested positive for Heartworm. The staff believes that the best place for Heartworm positive dogs like me to be while going through treatments and recovering is with a loving and forever family like yours. If you choose to adopt me, the clinic staff will be with you every step of the way, answering questions and offering support. The process from detection to the final treatment is generally three months and involves some simple at-home steps to keep me safe while I recover. The last step in the process is a follow-up test six months after my treatment begins. The Heartworm treatment process is highly successful and the staff anticipates that I will fully recover! Yeah! And you should know that Heartworm can only be transmitted from animal to animal by mosquitoes. Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. I hope to meet you soon! Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (6 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Scotch, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
