Samantha

My story

Samantha is a sweetheart with such a gentle soul. She was found as a stray, outside in the cold, but now dreams of a warm, loving home. With a little time, patience and open heart to care for her, Samantha will be a loyal companion to any family. She came to ARPO through a traumatic event of being found while giving birth and was rushed to an emergency animal hospital for immediate care. She went through surgery to help save the life of one of her kittens. Sadly, both of her kittens passed away. Samantha has been recovering, getting healthy and learning to love people. She seems to be in good spirits after everything she has gone through and can be very affectionate, needing extra love and attention. Samantha is a beautiful tortoiseshell cat and still has some of her stray survival instincts. She can be hesitant when entering new surroundings, environments, and meeting new cats. She may be a bit defensive and could hiss at the first meeting but she does warm up quickly once she has the opportunity to explore her new space and get to know her surroundings and any potential companion animals. Samantha has been fostered in a home with young children and other adult cats. Since she was a stray, her birthday is unknown however wellness vet exams estimate she's between 1-2 years old. Samantha is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, litter box trained, and negative for FIV/FeLV.Samantha is currently at Pet Supplies Plus in Mooresville (490 S. Indiana St)and would love some visitors!Normal ARPO adoption procedures apply. ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis. We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.
