Sonny

My story

Sonny is a 10-week-old little gentleman (about 5–7 lbs!) who came to us from Texas and is already charming everyone he meets. His mom is a small Cairn Terrier mix (8–10 lbs), and we think dad may have been a Boston Terrier, so this handsome fella should stay on the smaller side as he grows Sonny is all things puppy: playful, snuggly, and learning the ropes of the big wide world. He’s still working on house training and crate training, so his forever family should be ready to guide him with patience, praise, and maybe a few treats (okay, a lot of treats). He’s currently being fostered with other dogs, cats, and kids—so he’s getting a great start on becoming a confident, well-rounded pup.Sonny will be ready to go home at around 12 weeks old after his second round of vaccines. He’ll return to AARF around 6 months of age for his neuter (which AARF will handle). The adoption fee is $400 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!
