Haven

My story

Haven was found as a stray and very nervous at the local shelter.  She is scared of new people and will hide behind the one she knows until she knows you are safe.  That is getting better but still takes a minute.  The vet things about 2-3 but she sure does have a lot of puppy play in her.  She is fine with other dogs and cats (wants to play).  Haven will play with toys and your hands and just loves life now that she knows she is safe.  Since she is nervous with new people small kids would not be a match for her.  She loves attention but that sometimes turns into playful hand mouthing.  She is working on housetraining it is getting better now that she is on a routine.  Haven is about 10 lbs.  To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $250 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first.
