My story

Here is Bentley — a gentle, goofy soul ready to love and be loved. 🐾 Bentley’s journey hasn’t been easy. Originally from Mexico, he was passed from his first owner to a friend, then to her brother, and finally to a stranger. He was recently found wandering alone on the freeway — scared but still holding onto hope. He was chipped to his original owner, but no one could take him back. The truck driver who found him couldn’t keep him, and that’s how Bentley came into rescue, ready for a fresh start. Despite it all, Bentley is incredibly sweet and affectionate. He’ll gently lean against your legs or rest his head in your lap, asking for pets with soft eyes. He’s quiet and calm inside the house, fully potty trained, and not destructive at all. He also has a playful side — especially when it comes to squeaky toys (he loves them!) and zooming through grassy fields chasing birds like they owe him money. 🐦 It took Bentley a few days to settle in and trust me. At first, he wasn’t sure if our walks were safe or if he’d be left behind again. He took about 5 days to warm up to my pups after a few pack walks Now he’s enjoying his routine and has even started to look forward to pack walks. I sometimes joke that he might understand Spanish better than English — maybe he just speaks “Bentley.” He’s about 4 years old and looking for a patient, dog-savvy home so he can truly decompress and bond. With love, structure, and time, Bentley will become the goofy, snuggly, happy boy he was always meant to be.
