We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have.Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Seeking a companion for all your grandest escapades? Mocha is the most handsome 4-year-old brown lab, and is a true adventurer at heart.  Mocha is always ready for the next fun-filled outing or a cuddle puddle with his people. Mocha will instantly win you over with his gentle spirit, love of snuggles, and joy for life!  Mocha is eager to join you on hikes, retrieve his favorite toys, or just chill with you at home. He is quick to learn and eager to please!  In just one day at his foster house he conquered his fear of stairs and learned how to use the doggy door! Mocha is fabulous with kids and other dogs!  He has not barked once since being with his CO foster even when his fur sister does.  This boy is a true delight and will be the perfect companion to any human who is ready to love him!   Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us.  Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP.  Personality | Mocha is so gentle, smart, and ready to learn.  He absolutely loves to be loved and to roll in the grass.  He is truely a sweet baby! Story | Mocha was found in the Houston area by his Texas fosters.  He had broken free from a chain and came right over to his Texas hero's when called. They tried to reconnect him with his family but no one claimed.  Mocha was in bad shape when these loving humans found him.  They spent 6 months nursing him back to health from heartworms and fleas.  They wanted to make sure he had the best life and connected with Mile High Lab Mission.  He is now living with his Colorado foster family and eagerly awaiting his furever home here!  Other Dogs | Mocha is fantastic with other dogs.  He is submissive and gets along with every dog we crossed paths with!  Cats | Mocha's Texas foster family had cats and he was great with them.  The cats didn't particualrly love him!  Children | Mocha is the most gentle baby!  He is great with his 2 foster sisters in CO.  He doesn't have a mean bone in his body.  He is the bestest dog!Training | Mocha is quick to learn!  He is not destructive at all.  He does not like to be crated, but can be trusted home alone.  Mocha is quick to learn and eager to please!Leash | Mocha is great walking using a gentle leader. Activity Level | Moderate. Health Notes | Healthy and up to date on vaccines!Thank you! | Adoption Donations |  Our adoption donations are $475 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $425 for 1-6 years, $375 for dogs 7-10 years, and $250 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $525. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only.  To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process.Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved.  Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle.July 2, 2025, 2:13 am
