My story

Meet Everest – the gentle giant with a heart of gold. Everest is a 7-year-old neutered male Husky weighing in at around 75 pounds, and he’s ready to start the next chapter of his life in a loving forever home. We rescued Everest from the red list at the Riverside Shelter in Southern California, and ever since, he’s been the sweetest, calmest soul you could hope to meet. Despite his size, Everest is incredibly gentle and friendly with everyone he meets—humans and dogs alike, big or small. He’s even met cats through a pet gate and has calmly sniffed noses without a fuss. With the right introductions, he could absolutely live peacefully with feline companions. For a Husky, Everest is unusually mellow. He’s a true couch potato at heart, happiest lounging by your side or quietly keeping you company throughout the day. He walks beautifully on a leash, enjoys relaxed strolls, and doesn’t need tons of activity to be content. Whether you live in a house or an apartment, he’d make an easygoing and loyal companion. Everest isn’t a fan of crates or closed doors—he simply prefers to have access to his people. But when left alone, he’s calm, quiet, and non-destructive. He’s fully vaccinated, healthy, and ready to find a forever family who will love him for the sweet, low-key boy he is.
