My story

If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Hi there! My name is Fae and I am looking for my forever home. I was rescued from a hoarded house in Texas with my single puppy who I have raised into a model citizen. She is being adopted and now it’s my turn for a happily ever after ending! I am a super sweet, fun and funny gal! My foster home has dogs of all sizes and ages, and I do great with everyone. I enjoy running around in the fenced in yard with them or snuggling up by them in bed. I even got the household grouch to play with me which foster mom said was very impressive! Although he is back to being grouchy most of the time. What a buzzkill he is! If you’re in the middle of searching for a dentist for your other dog(s), look no further! Foster mom said she would include a picture on my profile here of my dental cleaning abilities. I demonstrated with one of her dogs. I get deep in there and make sure they aren’t missing any spots when brushing or flossing! For some reason, this is an intense passion of mine, so it requires some patience on the others dog’s end. I care about oral health! Sorry, not sorry. I enjoy playing with toys, exploring the yard multiple times a day and protecting my foster home from anything/anyone- UPS, pizza delivery drivers, my foster dad when he gets home from work… you name it! I’ll make sure to sound the alarm and keep you safe. Due to my expert level protection skills, a home with shared walls probably wouldn’t be a very good idea for me. What? Haven’t you ever met a chihuahua mix guard dog? When it’s bedtime, be prepared to do some real bonding. Under the covers. Yup, you heard me right! I love to snuggle up under the blankets quite often. My foster parents think it’s adorable and are happy to have me bundled under the covers with them! Due to my tougher start in life, meeting new people can be a little nerve wracking for me. I warm up quick, but a quieter house would probably be most ideal for me! I just do a lot of barking at people I don’t know. I also think small children would be a little overwhelming for me. I’m still working on potty training as well since I didn’t start out in the best of homes. The good news is, even though I’m working on learning to go outside, I use potty pads great inside. Alright, ya’ll! (I’m from Texas, remember? You can take the girl out of Texas, but you can’t take Texas out of the girl! Anyway.) I know I’m not “perfect” and I have some quirks, but I am such a loving, sweet and fun dog. My foster parents absolutely adore me and constantly tell me how deserving I am of finally getting a family and home of my own. It’s been a tough journey to get here, and I can’t wait to devote my love to my own person/family! My foster Mom and Dad say I AM perfect for someone and I can’t wait to meet you! Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2381027##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Fae, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
