Meet Lucky Breed: Belgian Malinois Age: 4–5 years Weight: 23kg Color: Black & Gray Neutered Male Height: 80cm (shoulder) Personality & Temperament Lucky is a big sweetheart who absolutely adores people. Even when meeting someone for the first time, he quickly opens up, follows them around, leans in for affection, and happily accepts pets. Though he has a large build, his gentle and calm nature makes him a very comforting companion to be around. At home, he enjoys lounging quietly, but if someone approaches, he immediately perks up and engages with joy. While he isn’t particularly into active games like fetch, he shows interest in toys and has a cute habit of gathering them in his kennel. He’s still learning how to play, but his curiosity and gentle demeanor shine through. Lucky is very polite when it comes to treats—he’ll nuzzle your hand with his nose but never grabs or behaves roughly. He currently lives peacefully with a cat and never growls or guards his food, even when the cat comes near during mealtimes. The same goes for his interactions with other dogs—he patiently waits his turn for treats and displays admirable manners and self-restraint. Socialization Lucky greets other dogs calmly on walks and at the playground but doesn’t actively seek out play yet—he still seems unsure about rough-and-tumble socialization. Sometimes, if he’s drinking and another dog approaches, he’ll gently move aside or hesitate to approach others first. He’s a respectful companion, who would rather avoid conflict than cause it. He hasn’t had experience with children under 13 years old. He allows being lifted with an arm under his belly and responds calmly to gentle handling. Outdoor Life & Training Lucky enjoys outdoor time at a moderate energy level and settles quietly once back inside. He’s currently working on leash manners; at the start of walks, he may pull or bark at passing cars or motorbikes, but he’s making steady progress with ongoing training. He may get startled by sudden movements or loud street noises, so extra care is needed in busy areas. Car & Kennel Lucky is very quiet overall and rarely barks. He rides calmly in a kennel and is not food-possessive toward humans or animals. He’s a bit nervous about getting into a car and needs to be carried in. While he resists a bit at first, once inside, he lies down quietly without signs of motion sickness. With more experience, he’ll likely gain the confidence to hop in on his own. House Training He is house-trained and uses both pee pads indoors and goes potty outdoors as well. Rescue Story Lucky was rescued from a city-run kill shelter just before euthanasia. He’s now safe and thriving in foster care—ready to find his forever family where he can truly belong. ##2433868##
