My story

CUDDLY LAP CAT AND BEDFELLOW  DOB 5/1/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Carrot, a sweet, friendly, and affectionate pale orange tabby fella who obviously got my name because of my beautiful fur color. I’m quite the cuddly lap cat and bedfellow who’s a great companion for Foster Meowmy. I have an outgoing yet quiet, easygoing demeanor, and not much phases me. I get along great with everyone in my foster home – adults, small children, and other cats. When Foster Meowmy’s not available for some snuggling, I can entertain myself because I’m a playful dude who’s quite the soccer striker as I bat my catnip mice around the house. Foster Meowmy rescued me as a friendly young stray who showed up at her community-cat feeding station. She surmised that I was probably someone’s lost or abandoned pet, so she scooped me up and brought me into the safe haven of her home. Boy howdy! I was so relieved to kiss the hardscrabble life good-bye. It’s not meant for me! I’m very low-maintenance and undemanding – with the exception that I’m always anxious where my next meal is coming from. Of course this makes no sense, but my cat psychologist, Foster Meowmy, diagnosed that this hearkens back to my often being hungry when I was living on my own, paw-to-mouth. When I first starting living indoors, I used to follow her around like her shadow until she fed me breakfast. Instant solution to my groundless neurosis is that she now leaves free-choice dry food out just to reassure me that plenty of food will always available. Man, that brimming food bowl works as effectively as a “chill pill!” Now I’m ready to bring my quiet congeniality, playfulness, and devoted cuddliness to my new family. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today! If you take me home, I promise that my favorite cozy place to sleep will be in bed with you! HOPE ID 25-0514-G097 If you are interested in Carrot and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net, and a volunteer will get back to you.
