My story

Meet Harvey at The Rescue Crew's new cat adoption center - The PURRfect Match, located at 14033 Round Lake Blvd NW in Andover. Hi, I’m Harvey — a gentle soul with a heart full of love and a story that’s just beginning. Before I came to The Rescue Crew, I was a nameless stray — a young orange and white tabby, just trying to survive. I’d been out in the cold long enough to suffer frostbite on my ears and lose the tip of my tail. But on April 28, 2025, everything changed. That’s the day I found safety… and the people who gave me my name. I’m still shy and figuring things out, but oh, how far I’ve come. I haven’t ventured outside my cozy cat habitat yet — the world still feels a little big — but when you come in close, I lean into your hand for chin and head scratches, and I absolutely love a good back-end scritch. I even let you scoop me up and hold me, though I might bury my face into your arm for a little extra comfort. The folks here say I’ve stolen their hearts — and I promise, I’ll do the same to yours. I’m not flashy or fearless, but I am endearing, affectionate, and so ready to blossom in a quiet, patient home where I can feel safe and loved. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota.
