My story

Nothing beats that sweet puppy breath! Meet Astrid, our little warrior princess who lives up to her name from How to Train Your Dragon. She’s got the heart, loyalty, smarts, and beauty to match — and she’s determined to grow into the most loving, playful, and faithful best friend you could ask for. Astrid already knows “sit” and will happily show off her skills for a treat. She’s thriving on her puppy schedule, which includes potty breaks, meals, playtime, and naps — all handled like a champ. At bedtime, she can be a tiny bit cheeky about going into her crate, but with a little encouragement, she settles in quickly. She’s a social butterfly in the making! Astrid has been wonderful with everyone she’s met — cuddling with cats, sharing with the big dogs, and making new friends along the way. She’s a Labrador mix (with a bit of mystery!) born in April and came to our rescue after a local shelter reached out for help. She’s already shown how adaptable she is, transitioning smoothly through a stopover foster home before settling into her current one. Astrid would thrive in a home with other canine companions who can help her continue to build confidence and explore the world around her.
