Ink (Bonded with Smudge)

My story

Meet Ink! Ink is our mama long hair black cat that was brought into HAP with her young baby kitten Smudge. At the time, Ink was being the best mama and still nursing baby Smudge so we kept them together until Smudge was bigger and stronger and ready to venture off on her own. However, we quickly learned that Ink and Smudge shared a special bond and that they would do best living out the rest of their lives together! Ink and her baby are quick to seek each other out in new environments and mama always makes sure to groom her baby. While Smudge is still a little on the nervous side, Ink is more outgoing and will greet you with the cutest little chirp noises. She loves chin scratches and butt rubs and once she really warms up to you, she'll even offer up her belly for rubs! Ink has shared her space with other kittens as well as a few other adult cats but really just tolerated them and didn't interact much. So they would do fine as the only cats in the home or the two of them would do fine joining a cat family! Ink is a real sweetheart and will shower you with as much love as she does her baby Smudge so stop by today to see if this mama and baby would be the perfect addition to your family. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
