My story

Meet Leanne !! This beautiful little wild child puppy is ready for a fun family to love. She’s spunky, sassy and adorable. She is an approx 3 month old female mix breed. Maybe husky and shepherd mixed in, we aren’t sure. She will likely be a medium to large dog. She is currently 19 pounds. Leanne will get dewormed, several sets of vaccines, a microchip and spay as part of her adoption. She is a very happy, loving and fun puppy! She is very social with people. Once she’s comfortable she fears nothing lol. She becomes very bold and outgoing. She loves to play and run wild. She’s high on life and always excited to play. She loves to play ball, play with dogs, play chase, pretty much anything to keeps her mind busy. She is smart and eager to learn. She already knows sit and down. She already sits before getting food or treats. Very smart girl. Leanne is still young but doing really well with her training. She’s extremely smart and eager to learn. She is crate trained and sleeps in the crate at night. She can be vocal at times in the crate but mostly when she needs out to potty or hasn’t had enough exercise. Shes just starting to learn leash training but is doing well. She’s been good on car rides. She does great with other dogs. She would really do best with another active playmate in the house. She’s so active and playful it really helps to run off her extra energy. She’s never met cats so we are not sure how she would do. She’s not fostered with kids but we think she would do great. She’s so loving and playful. She may jump on small kids or play nibble on hands until fully trained. Leanne is a very high energy girl. She is super spunky and always on the go. She has a sassy side and needs an adopter that is willing to give her tons of exercise and consistency in training. Please don’t adopt this pup if you’re not dedicated to exercising your dog every single day, both mentally and physically. Otherwise you’ll end up with a bored, frustrated and destructive dog. She will need a fenced yard. She will not do well in an apartment. She needs space to run. She needs mental exercise as well. Smart dogs can become pent up without it. Things like sniff walks, puzzles, games, short daily in home obedience refreshers and anything that works the mind and not just the body. She has so much potential if given the proper energy outlets. So far we’ve seen no issues with her sharing food treats or toys with humans or other pets. She was great for the vet. Leanne can be very vocal and talkative very much like a husky. She is mostly vocal when playing with other dogs but she will definitely “talk” to you when she’s feeling frisky. Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have lots of potty accidents, chew things up etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits well into your families lifestyle if you invest proper time on training with them. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before adopting. Vet and home checks required. **FENCED YARD REQUIRED*** Located in Hampton VA. (She will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius) ‼️Please message VillageDogResource@gmail.com or for faster response message our Facebook Page directly with questions or to get an application.‼️

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Leanne, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
