Cupid is a 4-1/2 year-old female (apparently the original owner thought it was a female name) with dichromatic irises (both eyes have the same two colors, pale lime-green centers with a yellow rim all the way around) that make her eyes especially bright. She is a quiet girl, litter-box trained, spayed, microchipped, vetted, and loves to be petted. We’d keep her if we didn’t already have 2 cats and 2 dogs. Cupid was a stray that showed up last October in the parking garage where my wife works. The original owner did not respond to messages from the microchip company, so my wife changed it to her name. She brought Cupid into our home the day before the deep freeze in late January, so we’ve had her for two months now. Back then, we noticed some blood in her urine, and the x-ray showed a large bladder stone, which had to be surgically removed. So that this doesn’t recur, she is now permanently on a special urinary tract diet, which is a little more expensive. However, she only weighs 7.5 pounds, so it’s not like she’s a ravenous 15-year-old male cat (we already have one of those). By her various behaviors, it is obvious that Cupid has been around people much of her life, so though she was a stray recently, she is definitely NOT feral. We are looking for a cat person who can give her a good loving home and the care and attention she deserves.
