My story

At just 3 months old, Waffles is an affectionate and playful orange tabby who’s ready to find her forever family. She adores chasing wand toys and curling up for cozy cuddle sessions. Though she can be a little shy in new situations, once she warms up, Biscuit’s gentle affection shines through.She’s not a fan of heights, but she loves being carried close—tucked securely like a little football, where she feels safe and content. If you have a soft spot for kittens with a sensitive soul and a big heart, Waffles will be your perfect cuddle companion.Come meet Waffles and let her sweet nature win you over—one gentle purr at a time.Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
