My story

*** Gracie is at Cat & Craft in Vista. ***Gracie #19853: solid gray, long hair, spayed female, born approx. 12/1/24Cats: okayDogs: unknownChildren: savvy elementary+ BACKGROUND: Gracie was brought in to an El Centro shelter; her eyes were underdeveloped and infected, and it in her medical best interest to remove them. Once they healed up, the shelter reached out to see if Gracie could transfer to our care to find her forever home!PERSONALITY: Gracie is a charmer! She is comfortable being held and climbing around your shoulders; she appreciates comfort-contact with you as she is getting her bearings. Since Gracie can’t see, she relies on smells and sound early on. Once her cat radar gets established, she gets around marvelously well and half the time if you don’t see her face you’d never know she can’t see. Gracie loves to play and her kittenish antics are on full display as she skitters about with her toys.COMPATIBILITY: Gracie needs slower introductions to other cats though she seems to be okay with their presence so long as they don’t push her. We don’t know how she’d be with dogs. Elementary-aged kids and up who understand and keep an awareness of her limitations would likely be okay.Gracie will show you how amazingly well cats can adapt and charm your socks off while doing it.
