My story

Meet this adorable senior pup Loochoo! Loochoo is a sweet senior pup with a calm soul and a big heart! At 10 years old, he still has plenty of love to give he just prefers to take things slow and steady. While the shelter environment can make him a little anxious, Loochoo is always cooperative and well-mannered. He enjoys staying close to his people and accepts gentle affection! Here’s what Loochoo’s previous owner has to say about him: “Loochoo is a loving dog who really enjoys being around people. He greets everyone with enthusiasm, running up to them to say hello, always wanting to stay close, and showing affection by asking to be petted. He’s well-behaved and listens well, so he gets a lot of love from everyone. He loves running around outside, especially at dog parks where he doesn`t have to wear a leash. He enjoys playing with other dogs there. He’s not too interested in toys; playing with people is what makes him happiest. He’s quite old now, but he still acts just like he did when he was a puppy. He’s still active, and when we go for walks, he’s always excited and runs around. He still has plenty of energy.” Loochoo has lived with both dogs and cats before and has gotten along well with them! In fact, he doesn`t seem to pay much attention to other animals, as all his attention is focused on people. It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff! Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
