My story

Hi there! I’m Pheobe, the sweetest little one year old terrier mix you’re ever going to meet!I started life in New Mexico, and somehow landed in the shelter where my odds of surviving were slim to none. I was fostered for about a month before my adventure to Utah. I’ve recently been living in a home with 2 senior dogs and a cat. We get along well but I could really use a friend who will play and snuggle with me. I’m still learning how to be on a leash so I can explore the world more, but since I’m only 10 pounds, the world is pretty big and scary. I like being in the yard. I know how to use a dog door and am house broken. Small children aren’t part of my repertoire, but I think I’d be ok with older ones. I’m quick to learn the house rules (I’ve been really good at staying off the bed and couch) I’m a fly weight; tricks and acrobatics would be easy with coaching and practice…or I’ll just show off while you bring my food bowl. If you *must* leave for work, I’ll complain for a little while, but eventually, I will find a bed and curl up to wait for you. I will be at the door before you get out of the car! My foster mom loves these little tufts of hair that come straight out from the sides of my tail, she calls them my antenna, and she loves to scratch my chin so she can see my little underbite.I can not wait to settle into my forever home with someone who will help me build confidence, take me on adventures and give me all the beds and blankets to snuggle into. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationJune 27, 2025, 8:04 am
