My story

Janie is a 6-year-old Dutch Shepherd with a calm, affectionate presence and a playful spark. Janie has a playful side and enjoys interactive games like fetch and tug. She also entertains herself with toys and particularly loves balls. Initially cautious around strangers, Janie warms up quickly and becomes social and affectionate once she feels safe. She already knows several basic cues including sit, paw, and down, and walks nicely on a leash right next to her handler. Janie was social and tolerant during her dog test, and would likely do best in a home with another low-energy companion. Janie is recommended for homes with children 16+ and older.
