My story

Meet Keira, a STUNNING ~1 year old spayed female Malamute/Husky mix, weighing 65-70 lbs! Not only is she sweet, but this floofy girl could be a tail model with her gorgeous flowing tail!  Keira has sadly spent most of her life tied to a chain outdoors, and she is still learning how to be a dog. She LOVES other dogs and people (not cat tested), and will follow you around wherever you go. Due to her size, we recommend older kids 8+ (as she may unintentionally knock over small children).  If you are looking for a Velcro dog who gets along with everyone, Keira is your girl! She would love a doggo sibling(s) to show her the ropes and to keep her company. She is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (she has been using a dog in her TN foster home), and working on crate training . As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
