Lucy is a beautiful female Beagle mix, who was sadly found dumped outside in east TN with her 4 newborn puppies (the Peanuts litter). Lucy and her pups were rescued and placed in a loving foster home. She has now finished nursing and is being fostered in CT while she awaits her forever home! Lucy is estimated to be about 5 years old. She looks bigger in her photos than she really is - she's only about 18-20 lbs. Lucy is a very sweet, good natured girl and she has been an excellent mama! She is good with other dogs, people, and kids. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats (we can cat test her if needed). Even though she looks sad in her pictures, Lucy is a very happy girl full of love and tail wags! She enjoys being with her person, and she did excellent getting her nails trimmed (pics in profile were pre-nail trim). She is mellow most of the time, but she does like to play and she gets the occasional zoomie! Lucy is medically up to date (will be spayed in CT), housebroken, and crate trained. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2442545##
