My story

MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Helios (pronounced e-LEE-os) is a handsome, high-energy Shepherd weighing in at around 50 pounds of pure potential. He’s friendly, bouncy, and absolutely obsessed with balls—tennis balls, squeaky balls, softballs… if it rolls or bounces, Helios is all in! This boy is a social butterfly who loves meeting new people and soaks up attention like a sponge. Helios wasn’t taught how to “dog” properly before now. He’s still working on potty training, crate time, and leash manners, but he’s catching on quickly with structure, consistency, and (his favorite part)... treats! He’s smart, goofy, and full of heart—but he needs a patient, experienced family who will guide him with love, teach him the ropes, and help him become the amazing dog he’s meant to be. Helios would thrive in a home that can match his energy level and provide plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Like any young dog, Helios is a work in progress, but he’s more than ready for someone to believe in him. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.
