My story

Meet Taco! Taco is a 5 month, 35 lb hound mix with soft floppy ears. Equal parts goofy and gentle, Taco is the kind of pup who’ll chase a leaf then curl up beside you for a nap. As a puppy, he is still learning the ropes (like how not to trip over his own paws or that squirrels aren’t personal enemies) but he’s eager to please and quick to learn with a little patience. Taco loves belly rubs, long sniffy walks, and weaving between your legs. If you're looking for a reason to smile every day, Taco’s your guy. House trained: Almost fully trained Leash trained: Working on it!Kennel trained: Work in progress but he does wellRides well in a car: YesGood with other dogs: Yes - fostered with dogsGood with cats: Still a playful puppy and chases some, but would be fine with dog-savy catsGood with young children (under 10): Yes - fostered with young children (can forget personal space)Shy or confident: Confident Barks: Sometimes - he will bark at the cats in his foster home and a little when he initially is kenneledApartment qualified: NoHealth concerns or special needs: No We believe this puppy/dog is a Hound mix and was born around 02/01/2025. This puppy/dog is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $400 which helps cover the cost of vetting procedures. Adoptable pets will have received age-appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, heartworm test (if applicable) and a spay/neuter. If this pet is under 6 months old, it may still need to be spayed/neutered. This procedure is scheduled through Brave by the age of 6 months and the cost is covered through the adoption fee.
