My story

Let’s officially welcome Starburst! We had no room, and we have a dog coming back this weekend, but we couldn’t turn away from helping one of our shelter partners who are bursting at the seams. Puppies are usually a quicker placement, so we’re hopeful we can get this little peanut into a loving home soon. Starburst is approximately five months old and absolutely gorgeous. Her eyes are mesmerizing, and we can’t wait to see what a stunning adult she grows into. She’s a very friendly, social puppy who already walks nicely on leash and isn’t jumpy. She has a solid “sit” command and shows the drive to keep learning, which makes working with her a joy. She passed her temperament testing with flying colors and is ready to take on the world. She is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. Starburst tested well with other dogs, and as with all our puppies, we prefer she go into a home with a well-mannered resident dog who can help teach her the ropes. If you don’t have a dog, we do ask that you have a plan in place to keep her social and engaged. Right now, Starburst is in boarding, and we all know that’s no place for a puppy on a long-term basis . She needs a soft place to land — a warm, loving home where she can continue to grow, learn, and thrive. She needs a family who is ready to continue her training – including crate training and housebreaking if needed. We’re currently looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home. Once we know it’s a good fit and she’s had time to settle in and continue her progress, we’ll happily make the adoption official.
