My story

Shimmer and shine, glimmer and glow!This Bengal beauty actually hails from Hamilton. She was surrendered after having some litter box incidents that were most likely the result of urinary tract issues and the presence of another cat that she did not get along with. Shimmer has been fed a special diet during her time at EHS and we’re happy to report that her litter box habits are impeccable. Now she’s ready to shine her in forever home! ABOUT SHIMMER- At shelter- Shimmer is a very active, playful, and energetic girl.- Spring toys are her obsession! She’ll chase them around the shelter and carry them back to volunteers to encourage them to keep playtime going.- Wand toys are also a good way to burn off some of her energy.-She’s a sweet, friendly, chatty girl, always ready with a lovely trill to start the conversation.- She demands attention and isn’t shy about letting you know that it’s either mealtime or her “out time” at the shelter. - When she takes a break, Shimmer loves to curl up on a stack of cat beds on a shelf and snooze the afternoon away.- Shimmer is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.SHIMMER’S IDEAL HOME- Given her past history, Shimmer must be the only cat in the household.- Potential adopters should be prepared to keep Shimmer on a special diet to prevent a recurrence of urinary tract issues.- Shimmer would do best in a quiet home without young children.- Due to the expected number of applications for Shimmer, we are only considering applicants who can provide a vet reference in their name, as the primary owner.Could this shimmering ray of sunshine be the one to light up your life?
