Hidey-Hole Phase Shift: Gains invisibility for 1–2 days post-disruption. Will reappear with time and soft voices. Champion Purr Engine: Boosts morale of nearby allies. Has been known to trigger human tears (of joy). Play Game Resurgence: When engaged with wand toy, reverts to playful kitling with +3 to joy and +2 to confidence. Background & Lore Once a lone explorer on the streets, Mordecai now walks the winding road of rehabilitation. His journey has been neither quick nor easy — the fear remains, but it no longer defines him. He wants to connect. He tries so hard. And when he dares to trust, the reward is magnificent: biscuits so heartfelt they could mend broken souls, head bonks worthy of a seasoned cleric, and purrs that echo with gratitude. He’s not just any companion. He’s looking for the perfect party to join — and to become their familiar. A lifelong bond awaits those patient enough to earn his trust. Ideal Party Patient humans with soft voices and softer hearts. No young children, loud minotaurs, or unpredictable bards. A stable home with a predictable rhythm and a confident feline NPC for guidance and grounding. Must be willing to win affection the old-fashioned way: with time, treats, and tiny victories. Mordecai’s Deal-Breakers Cannot be “won” in a day. This is a long-term quest with emotional side missions. Does not respond well to being scooped up like a loot drop.
