My story

Say hello to Newt, a spunky little girl with a big personality and an even bigger purr! She arrived at our shelter from an overcrowded facility, along with her adorable siblings: Frog, Rattlesnake, Salamander, Toad, and Turtle. These six critters may have wild names, but they’re all heart. Newt spent time in a loving foster home, where she learned all the essentials of indoor living—like using the litter box, climbing and the art of sneak-attacking anything that moves. Thanks to her foster family, she’s well-socialized and used to being around people. What can you expect from a Newt? * High energy * Pinpoint aim with flying pounces * Occasional harmless mischief (your socks may never be safe again) * Endless cuddles after playtime She’s curious, clever and always on the lookout for her next adventure. Whether it’s chasing a wand toy, wrestling with a sibling, or batting at shadows, Newt brings the kind of joy only a feline companion can. Come meet this little explorer and see if you're ready for the whirlwind of cuteness that is Newt! The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com.
