My story

Rachel is a beautiful domestic medium hair tortoiseshell with a gentle soul and a soft, floofy coat to match. This shy girl tends to take a little time to adjust to new surroundings, but don’t let her quiet nature fool you—beneath that cautious exterior is a total sweetheart waiting to shine. Once Rachel feels safe and settled, she blossoms into a loving and affectionate companion. She enjoys gentle pets, cozy naps, and quiet company. With a little patience and a lot of love, Rachel will reward you with trust, cuddles, and a bond that’s truly special. If you have a calm home and a kind heart, Rachel just might be the perfect cat for you. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
