I hope it will be with you.I’m an adorable, 1 year old, 41-pound Lab mix, with beautiful, shiny fur, the cutest face, the softest ears, and a happy, delightful personality. I think I might even already be housebroken. I keep my kennel area clean and I know to go to the bathroom when I get outside. Please stay patient with me as I get settled in, though, as an adjustment period in a new home is normal. I’ll try my best to follow all of the rules of my new home. I first came to Wayside last fall as a wee pup, full of hope and silliness and ready for my new life to begin. I was quickly adopted, but things apparently didn’t work out for me there. I recently found myself at a shelter in Kansas before getting transferred back to Wayside. I was welcomed back with open arms, but a big, scary shelter feels so lonely and stressful for a young, active dog like me. I need a couch to curl up on and a person to hang out with. I need a home.I was so afraid when I realized that I was back in a shelter. I love people and cuddles and affection, but I like these things on my own terms. I don’t like things forced on me or the feeling of being restrained. Perhaps you have felt this way before, too. Once we get to know and understand each other, you won’t find a more loyal, devoted friend than me.
