My story

Meet Polly Pocket! Paralyzed in her back legs, Polly was heartbreakingly abandoned in the lobby of the Riverside County Department of Animal Services. The shelter reached out to us for help, and on July 1st, we welcomed her into the Frosted Faces family. Polly is approximately 8 years old and weighs 20 pounds. Despite the challenges she’s faced, she remains incredibly sweet, friendly, and full of spirit. Every person Polly meets is a new friend, and she LOVES attention - pets, belly rubs, snuggles - all of it! We outfitted Polly with a custom set of wheels, and she surprised us all with how quickly she adapted—happily cooperating as we helped her in and out, then taking off like she’d been using them her whole life! Polly Pocket went on a Frosted Field Trip with one of our dedicated volunteers, so we could learn what she is like in a home setting. Afterwards, we received this report: Polly is full of heart and spunk. She lives for human affection and gets so excited when she sees her people. She jumps, snorts, and even does the cutest happy nibbles just to show her love! Polly is incredibly capable on her wheels and loves zooming around on walks. At home, she’s calm and content in her space. She sleeps through the night peacefully and is totally quiet when left alone (aside from a few protest barks at first). Polly’s ideal home would be one without small dogs or cats, as she’s not a fan of them. However, she’s done beautifully with my calm larger dog and is generally polite with others unless they bark at her first. This "big dog in a tiny body" is full of love, fun, and resilience — from wheelie adventures to cuddle sessions and playful wrestling. Polly Pocket is ready to roll right into your heart and home! This amazing girl is ready to find her forever family — one that will give her all the love and care she deserves for the rest of her life. Could that special someone be you?
