My story

Meet Carmen Belle! 10-year-old Carmen found herself at Downey Shelter after being surrendered by her owner. While a reason for her surrender wasn’t given, it’s clear that Carmen still has so much love to give — and she deserved a second chance. On July 3rd, we welcomed Carmen as a Frosted Face, and then just one day later, she was chosen for a two-week Frosted Fling. After the stress of losing her home and family, followed by time spent in the shelter, we’re so glad Carmen is getting extra TLC in the comfort of a home. A few days into their fling, her Fling Mom shares: "It does not get much easier than this little lady! Carmen will go wherever you place her. She sniffs around in the yard but don’t expect any real walks. Her legs are tiny so she does need to be carried up and down stairs, but at her size, that's not hard! Carmen is a perfect car passenger, is fine with dogs of any size, and has not had a single accident. Looking for a cuddly couch potato? This is your girl!" Stay tuned for more updates!
