Talah is the very definition of sweetness. Despite spending her early life living outdoors, this loving girl has impeccable house manners and a calm, affectionate spirit that makes her truly special. Since arriving in her foster home, Talah hasn’t had a single accident in the house and sleeps free-roam like a perfect little house guest. She’s also crate trained, though she doesn’t need it—she’s simply that well-behaved! Friendly and easygoing, Talah blends beautifully with the five other dogs in her foster home. When she first met them, she would gently roll onto her back as if to say, “I just want to be friends.” Her kind nature shines through in everything she does—from sharing treats politely to relaxing on the couch with her humans, or napping on her dog bed. She has a way of looking at you with those expressive eyes and alert, perky ears that makes you feel like she truly understands every word you say. And yes—she absolutely loves being told she’s a pretty girl! Talah is quiet, calm, and content. She’s devoted to her people without being clingy and settles easily in the home, often napping peacefully while her foster parents work. She also rides like a dream in the car, making her a great companion for adventures or errands alike. On leash, Talah is eager to explore—understandable, since she’s discovering the joy of walks for the first time! She can get a little excited and pull when curious but has shown she can also walk nicely by your side. She joins her foster pack on daily walks and is working on calmly greeting other dogs without trying to initiate playtime. Talah is about 1 to 1.5 years old, and she’s shown incredible bravery and resilience. She came into rescue after being hit by a car and had been quietly walking on a dislocated hip for months. Even during her vet visits and exams, she was gentle, trusting, and the best patient. Her FHO surgery was completed on June 6th, and she’s doing wonderfully in her recovery—showing the same quiet strength and optimism that defines her spirit. She is already walking 2 miles a day! Talah is a great dog. Sweet, polite, loyal, and full of love, she’s ready to be someone’s very lucky companion. Come meet Talah—your heart will thank you.
