My story

This handsome black pup is Zepher!  He is a 7-month-old Shepherd  / Lab mix with the softest, slikiest black coat and eyes that look right into your heart. This sweet boy is discovering just how wonderful life can be now that he's safe, loved, and surrounded by kindness. Zepher spent his early days on the reservation with his mom and siblings, learning to survive without ever knowing the comforts of a real home. But his story is taking a beautiful turn. Now thriving in a foster home, Zepher is making up for lost time—soaking up affection, bonding with the resident dogs, and finally getting to be the playful, goofy puppy he was always meant to be. He’s naturally a little shy in new situations, but every day brings new progress. With the gentle support of his foster family and canine friends, Zepher is building confidence and showing more of his sweet, silly personality. He’s eager to please, soaks up love like a sponge, and gives it back in the most heart-melting ways. Already, this wonderful pup has learned how to walk on leash, is house and crate trained and is quiet and well behaved in the house. He sleeps through the night and has been a very lovely guest at his foster home! Zepher would thrive in a calm, patient home—one that understands the joy of helping a shy pup come into his own. Experienced dog owners or families willing to offer him the space and reassurance he needs will be rewarded with a loyal, loving companion.
