My story

Rosco is a big-hearted boy in an even bigger body. A Great Dane/Lab mix with a goofy streak and a whole lot of love to give, Rosco is looking for a patient and experienced home to help him catch up on the life he’s missed out on. Before coming into rescue, Rosco lived most of his life confined to a crate, but despite it all, he’s full of love and has embraced freedom, fun, and belly rubs with open paws. Rosco is great with other dogs and has been gentle and sweet around kids—but fair warning, he truly has no concept of his size. He’s been known to bulldoze right over the resident toddler without even noticing! While he's curious about cats, we’re not quite sure how he’d do with one just yet. Crate trained Working on house training Pretty good on a leash—until he sees something exciting Tall enough to counter surf like a pro (but improving!) No food aggression, just overly enthusiastic with treats‍ Can scale a 6-foot fence like it’s a speed bump—so a secure setup or leash-only outings are a must! Rosco is smart, eager to learn, and genuinely thinks he’s a toy poodle in disguise. He loves affection, is learning how to be a respectful housemate, and would thrive with someone who can give him structure, patience, and lots of playtime. This lovable goofball is ready to leave his past behind and be someone’s oversized shadow. If you’ve got room in your heart for a big, bouncy boy with an even bigger heart—Rosco is waiting. He is about 2 years old and weighs 78 pounds.
