Male, 1 year old, 50 lbs, Retriever/Lab Mix Personality: independent, affectionate, eager-to-please, snuggler, adventurous, goofy/funny, mischievous, loyal, playful, and outgoing. Port is the authority on charm! This handsome boy is equal parts cheerful, goofy, and social. Port has never met a person he doesn't love, and he's been a respectful, gentle little brother to his senior foster sister. Port is crate trained, nearly house trained, and picking up household manners very quickly. This goofy pup is the kind of dog who brings joy with him wherever he goes! Whether he's carrying around his favorite toy, flopping over for belly rubs, or making new friends in his neighborhood, he’s an all-around happy guy. He’s great on leash, adores all treats and toys, and is always up for a walk or a playdate. Port is still a young pup, so he's learning what’s his to chew and what’s not, but he responds well to redirection and is clearly trying his best. He is extremely treat motivated, which makes training a breeze! This affectionate pup is just waiting to be the best adventure buddy and cuddle bug combo out there. Apply today to meet Port! Check out @BenandLondon on Instagram to learn more! ___________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Port, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
