My story

Leshi is ready to board her flight to San Francisco upon adoption. Background: Leshi was rescued this past spring from a city pound in Milyang, Korea, just before she was scheduled for euthanasia. She was one of the lucky dogs saved through our Save 100 Dogs project. Since then, she’s been living safely at our boarding house with other dogs. Personality and Socialization: Leshi is a sweet, gentle girl with a calm nature. She can be a little shy at first, especially around strangers or in new environments—but once she feels safe, her affectionate side shines through. She gets along wonderfully with other gentle, friendly dogs, especially those around her size. Leshi is submissive and never causes trouble. If another dog is too pushy, she quietly walks away. She’s not one to bark a lot or react—just a loving soul who needs a bit of time to open up. Behavirous: Leshi is well-behaved indoors. She’s pee pad trained, non-destructive, and settles in nicely once she gets familiar with her surroundings. She does well during bath time and is calm in the car. Leash walking is still new to her, but she does well to follow her person—she just needs a little time and encouragement in unfamiliar places. Health and Diet: Leshi is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. She’s kept on monthly flea, tick, and mosquito prevention, and has shown no allergies. She eats dry kibble twice a day and has a healthy appetite. Ideal Home: Leshi would thrive in a quiet home with someone who is home most of the time—perhaps someone who is retired or works from home. She gains confidence from being around other dogs, so a home with a friendly, gentle pup would be ideal. She’s not demanding—just a sweet, sensitive girl looking for someone with patience and love. Once she bonds with you, she becomes a true velcro dog who will follow you everywhere with her soft eyes and gentle heart.
