Dan

My story

On 7/9/25 I visited Dan in his kennel. His kennel cards had blue dots. He was curled up at the front, but slowly rose to my presence. I offered treats which he took nicely. I opened the door and he slowly came out, ready for pets and love. He was timid, but gentle and sweet. "I love Dan! He’s the sweetest boy. He seems to be a bit head shy and took a few minutes to get leashed up. He readily approached me in his kennel but once I held the leash up he would back up or gently raise a paw, all in a friendly manner. Eventually I closed the divider and was able to get the leash over his head and he followed me out of his kennel. He would stick close to me as we walked down the hallway and walked very softly. Once we were outside he seemed to feel more comfortable and enjoyed rubbing on me and jumping up for some hugs. 10/10 very good boy!" - MAS Volunteer
