My story

Looking for a sweet, smart, and loyal companion who’ll be your shadow, cuddle buddy, and outdoor sidekick? Kenny might just be your perfect match. Kenny is a stunning red merle Aussie with long legs, a soft, flowing coat, and an expressive face you’ll instantly fall in love with. He’s 2 years old and full of love to give—but it takes him a little time to open up, especially around new people and men in particular. Once he trusts you, though, he’s incredibly affectionate (some might say a little needy!) and loves nothing more than being close to his humans. He’s dog-friendly and enjoys playing, but his energy can be a bit much for shy or reserved pups. He mostly ignores cats and does great with kids. On walks, he can get excited and bark at other dogs, but he responds well to redirection with commands like “this way” and “focus.” He’s been working on leash skills and making great progress! Kenny is house-trained, sleeps through the night in his crate, and thrives on routine and gentle guidance. He loves exploring the yard, playing with toys and chew bones, going on walks, and just hanging out with his people. Kenny came into our rescue after being found on the street, having been hit by a car. He still has a limp in his front leg, but it hasn’t slowed him down. He’s steadily improving and would benefit from continued physical therapy to help him regain strength.
