My story

Giganta A17616151 lb. spayed female, approx 1 year old -She’s very friendly despite being a little timid-She will army crawl over for pets and she loves belly rubs!-She’s affectionate and gives kisses-Did not engage in any play with toys-I introduced treats and while she likes them she doesn’t seem super food motivated. She will sit and she does take them nicely.-The thing she wants most is to be lying with you or next to you for pets and cuddles-She walks slow and steady on a leash…loose leash the whole way-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
