My story

Josie is a gentle soul with a heart full of love. While she may take a bit to warm up, once she does, you'll discover one of the sweetest, most easy going companions around. She adores cozying up beside you and will happily seek out head and neck scratches—her absolute favorite! Though she prefers not to be picked up, she’ll always find a way to be close, often curling up on the couch or bed just to be near you.  Josie has a delightful way of asking for attention: a soft tap of her paw, like she’s politely saying, “Excuse me.” She’s also a certified box enthusiast—any empty box becomes her personal hideaway!  She’s currently living with young children (ages 3 and 6) and shows incredible patience and gentleness. When she’s ready for a break, she simply strolls away—no fuss, no drama. Josie is also sharing her space with a playful young cat, and while she prefers a calm environment, she could live with another laid-back feline friend who respects her boundaries. At 4 years old, Josie is in excellent health with no history of illness. She’s not picky about food and enjoys both wet and dry meals. While she’s not overly playful, she does enjoy the occasional toy—especially teaser wands and rolling balls. Her favorite hangout spots include her cat tree perch and, of course, any box she can find.  Josie is a tidy girl with impeccable litter box habits and loves using her scratcher pole. She’s the epitome of a classic cat—elegant, independent, affectionate on her terms, and always a comforting presence in your home.
