My story

Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue AFFECTIONATE AND QUIET Meow! My name is Lady, born July 2, 2019. I am a gentle spirit with a heart full of affection, though naturally quiet and a bit reserved. At the shelter, you’ll often find me resting peacefully in my cozy bed, quietly observing my surroundings.Offer me a moment of gentle petting, and I’ll instantly soften—responding with loving headbutts and rolling sweetly from side to side, eager to show my gratitude and growing trust. Adjusting to shelter life has been a bit daunting, and I’m still finding my confidence. My journey hasn’t been without challenges: years ago, I found a loving home through Forever Love Rescue, but when my owner faced homelessness, they made the heartbreaking decision to return me to the shelter, hoping I might find a family who can provide the stability and care I deserve. I am friendly with other cats and have experience living with small dogs. Given my current anxiety and unsureness, I would flourish best in a calm, gentle home—especially with a kind and patient owner who will understand my need for a slow, nurturing approach. I’m quietly waiting in the Kitty Corner, hoping someone with a kind heart will see me and offer a forever home filled with warmth, safety, and love. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many  that are not posted yet.  Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives.  No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so).  We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.   We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year.  Visit bit.ly/DonateFLR for more info.
