Kiara arrived at the Care Center as an owner surrender. During her intake, Kiara was highly fearful, barking at staff, hiding and didn't allow microchip scan. Kiara began leash biting on the way to her kennel. At the beginning of her stay, she was highly fearful during her behavior assessment, although has warmed up to familiar staff. During here time at the Care Center, Kiara has become increasingly difficult for the staff to handle safely. Kiara is noted to intensely leash bite and pull her leash into kennel. Her previous owner notes that she is friendly and outgoing with other dogs, children, and visitors. Medically, Kiara is apparently healthy. Kiara arrived at MACC as an owner surrender. Her previous owner describes her as a sweet and social dog. During her stay in care Kiara has been observed to be fearful. During intake Kiara had dilated pupils and was barking at handlers when they approached. Throughout her stay Kiara has remained fearful with a tense trembling body and tucked tail.
