My story

***LOCAL ADOPTER NEEDED (within 50 miles of Apex, NC)! This dog is scheduled to be spayed on 7/15 and will also need to complete her heartworm treatment at our partner vet in Apex!*** Hey, I’m Angel! I’m probably 0% lab, but 100% adorable pup. My foster mom lives on a horse farm. It took me a bit but now I’m used to cats, dogs, horses, and visitors. I’m a vocal girl. You’ll never have to guess what I’m feeling. Let’s get the medical stuff out of the way first. Peak saved me from starvation. I’ve gained 11 pounds and am healthy at 38 pounds now. I’m scheduled to be spayed next week, July 15th. Can you give me a ride to the vet? I’m also heartworm positive so I will need to go to the rescue’s vet for that too. I love to run and play. I’m still learning what makes an item a “dog toy”. Why don’t shoes and slippers count? My foster mom has used shaping to teach me a bunch of things. I know to sit, wait, go potty, bring it here, and kennel up. I haven’t met any kids yet. My foster mom thinks I’ll have a hard time knowing whose toys are whose. I sleep through the night in my crate. I also go there when my foster mom isn’t home. I probably shouldn’t live in an apartment. I bark when I’m in the crate and hear people in the barn attached to the house. I’m house trained and walk ok on the leash. I bark when I’m unsure, or if something is out of place. The mower isn’t usually over there, ya know. I don’t like thunderstorms. I get whiny and shake and want you to sit on the couch. Then I can smoosh myself behind you. It’s a little cave of safety. If you’re looking for an older puppy to turn into an awesome doggo, I’m your girl. Don’t let my stumpy legs fool you. I can zoom zoom with the best and keep up.
