My story

Hi, I'm Trace, a one-year-old Chihuahua blend boy who weighs just 13 pounds. I’m a big fan of toys and adventures, and I’m looking for a family who will love me forever! General Behavior: Trace is a happy-go-go-go-lucky boy with lots of energy and love to give.  He’s happy from the moment he wakes up until he snuggles into bed. He’s an easy-going guy, adjusting to his family’s schedule as needed. Likes & Dislikes: Trace loves toys, chasing lizards, taking walks, playing in the backyard, and pleasing his people. He enjoys car rides and snuggling in the evening with his humans. He's anxious around other dogs, especially on walks. Training: Trace is becoming quite a little gentleman. He is housetrained if let out frequently and knows basic commands.  He is currently working on learning not to bark or pull on his leash when he sees dogs, bikes, even people. He can still be a bit protective of his bed and belongings but he's very smart and treat-motivated, which makes him a good student for training. Medical: Trace is a healthy boy, He just needs his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Trace is a strong candidate for an only-dog home where he could have his humans’ attention all to himself.  He has not been tested with cats. Children: Trace would do best with older children (ages 8 and up) considering his size and protective behavior. Home: Given his barking, Trace would do best in a single-family home. A fenced yard would be ideal to accommodate his energy and allow him to chase lizards to his heart's content! He sleeps well in a secure area and can be left alone in his foster’s home for a couple hours without issues. Grooming: This short-haired guy won't need too much elaborate grooming beyond the occasional bath and regular nail trims. Overall: : If you are looking for a happy, affectionate, playful pup who will love you with his whole heart, Trace may be the one for you. Are you the one for Trace? Then visit our website at www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption donation is $475. ##2266196##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Trace, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
