ALL ABOUT ME  Name: Maon Age: 2 yrs old Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Retriever/ Jindo mix Colour: Cream Weight: 20.8kg / 46lbs Microchipped: Yes   MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! I’m Maon — a sweet soul with a big heart. I’m not quite sure how I ended up in a city pound, especially at such a young age. I was only about 2 months old when I found myself in that scary place, unsure of what was happening around me. Thankfully, some kind-hearted rescuers saw past my uncertain start and gave me the chance I so desperately needed. They scooped me up and promised me a brighter future — and now I’m ready to find a forever family who will love me the way I’ve always dreamed of being loved.   MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues.   MY PERSONALITY I’m a little shy when we first meet, but with a few gentle treats and a bit of patience, I quickly warm up and happily accept pets. I’m also gentle when taking treats from your hand — no rushing here, just sweet and careful. Once I trust you, you can even pick me up, and the volunteers and staff say I carry many of those lovable retriever qualities — friendly, loyal, and full of heart. I get along well with all dogs and am very polite during mealtime, never guarding my food from people or my furry friends. I’m just a calm, easygoing pup ready to be your gentle companion!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m a little shy when we first meet, but with gentle introductions, I quickly come around. I’ll gently take treats from your hand once I feel safe, and with just a little bit of time, I’ll warm up to you in no time. I’m a gentle and sweet boy, ready to share my quiet love with the right person.   With Dogs:  Although I can be a bit shy around new people, I’m great with my doggy friends! I have a good sense of when to jump into play and when to take it slow, always tuning in to what my playmates want. I love meeting new pups and enjoy a friendly greeting — and if we don’t click right away, I’m happy to dive into play and break the ice. Making new friends is one of my favorite things!   With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, but with a slow and thoughtful introduction, I think I could learn to live peacefully with a feline friend.   ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I have a moderate energy level — I love spending time outdoors exploring and playing with my dog friends, but I’m just as happy to kick back and relax in a cozy spot when I’m indoors. I enjoy a good balance of fun and downtime!   TRAINING & HABITS I’m a focused pup who follows my handler well, though I might get a little excited and pull when something really catches my attention. But overall, I stay attentive and love to please. As I mentioned before, I don’t guard my food from people or other dogs — sharing is easy for me! I’m a quiet soul and rarely bark, and I’ve learned to rest calmly and quietly in my kennel. When it comes to potty time, I prefer the great outdoors. One of my favorite things is spending time with my best buddy, Danny. We lean on each other for comfort and support, making us quite the dynamic duo!   MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. Ideally, a loving home with another calm and confident dog sibling my size — a perfect companion to share adventures and quiet moments with.   SPECIAL NOTES The pictures and videos don’t really show how cute I am! With my folded ears and soft brown eyes, you’ll quickly fall for my gentle smile. I’m a little shy at first, but give me some time and treats, and I’ll be your best buddy in no time. I’m still learning leash manners — sometimes I get distracted by smells — but I try to follow my human’s lead. I get along great with other dogs, especially my best pal Danny — we’re inseparable! I’d do best in a calm home with another confident dog my size. I’m pretty quiet, don’t bark much, and love to chill in my kennel. I prefer going potty outside, where there’s fresh air. At first, I’ll need to be double-leashed with a harness and collar to keep me safe while I settle in. With patience and love, I’ll be your perfect playful companion. ##2455784##
