My story

Meet Curly! Curly is a 1 year old long haired chihuahua mix who was abandoned at a Philadelphia emergency hospital. We do not know Curly’s past, but we do know that Curly is incredibly sweet but scared at the moment. Curly has been through a lot and is very nervous around people, but is start to showing his sweet nature with the people he is learning to trust. He is afraid of handling, and we imagine someone was very unkind to him in the past, but we are working on building his confidence and trust in new people. Curly will thrive with a family who can continue to work on trust and socialization with him, and has a little extra patience and love to give! He melts into you when you pick him up, and we are sure he will become a very snuggly boy! As with all rescue dogs, they will need a family who is understanding and prepared to work through a period of transition with them as they learn to live in a house and around people.
