How this pet arrived: Kris was brought in by a community member on June 24, 2025.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Kris! This handsome guy came to us as an unsocialized kitten, and still hasn't figured out the whole "human friendship" thing, but he could potentially warm up with time. He is currently part of our outdoor cat adoption program, which finds placements for cats who aren't suited to living as indoor pets, but a special guy like Kris will need a special home. We would love if Kris were adopted to someone who is okay with having Kris live in their home if he chooses to do so. Kris may or may not make an ideal resident for a farm, horse stable, barn or workshop. Regardless, you can give this pet their best life by committing to provide them with shelter, food and water in a safe area. San Diego Humane Society and other cat professionals highly recommend adopting 2 to 5 outdoor cats at one time and it is required that Kris has another adult cat in his new home. Cats are more likely to stay at their new home if they have the company and companionship of other cats. Being housed together or near each other during the acclimation period allows the cats to get used to each other. Once released outdoors, the cats will likely look out for each other!
